Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton Norwood, part of Hobbs Brook Management FM, seeks a Conference Technician to support AV/IT needs for meetings and events in Norwood, MA. You will set up and break down conference rooms, assist guests with AV and computer issues, and coordinate with catering, sales, and operations teams.

The role is part-time, non-exempt with first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; availability to work weekends and holidays is required to support business operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year AV experience (projectors, microphones, screens, hybrid setups) required
• Able to troubleshoot basic computer and guest technology issues
• Comfortable learning hotel‑specific AV and conference systems
• Quickly resolves AV/room issues and unexpected changes
• Adapts to shifting schedules and high‑volume event days
• Anticipates needs to prevent service disruptions

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference rooms and function facilities
• Provide on-site AV/tech assistance for guests
• Maintain conference and banquet spaces and AV equipment
• Assist with food & beverage socials and hotel events
• Coordinate with catering, sales, operations, and engineering for seamless events
