Job summary

Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC, the real estate division of FM, is seeking a Conference Technician at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood. You will set up and break down conference rooms, assist with AV and related guest requests, and help maintain event spaces.

This part-time, non-exempt role runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (first shift) with weekend shifts and holiday coverage. A minimum 1 year AV experience, strong guest service, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year AV experience (projectors, microphones, screens, hybrid setups) required.
• Able to troubleshoot basic computer and guest technology issues.
• Comfortable learning hotel-specific AV and conference systems.
• Quickly resolves AV/room issues and unexpected changes.
• Adapts to shifting schedules and high-volume event days.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference rooms and function spaces.
• Provide on-site AV and guest support for events (audio, visual, computer, room changes).
• Maintain conference/banquet spaces and AV equipment.
• Assist with food and beverage socials and hotel events.
• Coordinate with Catering, Banquets, Sales, Operations, Housekeeping and Engineering.
