Job summary

The Freeman Company, through its Alford Media division, seeks a Technician - Service and Systems based in Dallas to diagnose, repair, test, and refurbish AV equipment to meet event-ready standards. This role supports the Alford Media team with hands-on maintenance and parts coordination.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in AV repair or live events. In-office and show-site work 5 days/week are expected, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience repairing, troubleshooting, or maintaining audiovisual equipment preferred.
• Experience in live events, entertainment technology, or related technical environments is an asset.
• Understanding of equipment handling and workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, align, and repair audiovisual equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality inspections on rental inventory.
• Refurbish equipment through cleaning, painting, and replacement of damaged or missing components.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors regarding repairs, technical support, and replacement parts.
• Maintain accurate repair records and inventory documentation.
• Order and track parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to warehouse and event teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
