Job summary

Automated Lifestyles is seeking an AV Apprentice Technician to learn installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of low‑voltage systems in luxury residential and commercial settings.

You’ll receive hands-on mentorship, contribute to projects on time and within budget, and spend initial weeks assisting in warehouse tasks while you train for advanced technician duties.

Qualifications

• Interest in commercial/residential AV & low-voltage installation.
• Familiarity with networking.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate and test low-voltage cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker).
• Mount devices at cable endpoints and build equipment racks.
• Setup and configuration of devices and basic networking concepts.
• Troubleshooting of AV and low-voltage equipment.
• Stage products for installation; assist in warehouse tasks as needed.
• Long-term training to progress from Apprentice to skilled technician.
• Future opportunities in programming (Lutron/Crestron/Josh.ai/Networking/Security).

AV Apprentice Technician

Compensation: $22.50 - $25.00 / hour

Description

Automated Lifestyles is seeking an aspiring Low-Voltage Technician to join our team. You will learn how to install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems in residential and commercial settings. Through hands‑on training and mentorship, you'll develop the skills to complete installations on time, on budget, and to our standards of quality and client satisfaction.

This role is designed as the entry point into a long‑term career at Automated Lifestyles - with structured training to help you grow from Apprentice into a skilled, advanced technician. While you're learning, you'll spend a few hours a week assisting in the warehouse: staging product for orders, learning how to build equipment racks, inventory, and more.

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands‑on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• A passion for technology and the ability to work with your hands. You want to play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and programming of sophisticated AV and Low‑Voltage systems in luxury residential and commercial environments.

Your Location:

• In‑Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)

Your Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
• We run 4x10's (Three day weekend!)
• Days Per Week: Mon‑Thurs 7:00am-5:00pm

Requirements:

• An Interest in Commercial and/or Residential AV & Low‑Voltage (Wiring & Installation)
• Familiarity with networking
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• +21 years old
