Job summary

Genuine Parts Company, doing business as NAPA Auto Parts, seeks an Autotech Technical Trainer to lead training for AutoCare and Major Account shop employees. You will develop and deliver programs to improve diagnostic skills and reduce comebacks, working under a Regional Training Manager.

You will collaborate with division and national teams, design schedules, and pilot Autotech training, with heavy travel across markets. Strong facilitation and automotive background required.

Qualifications

• ASE Master Technician Certification required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a working automotive technician.
• Prior automotive, truck or related training, facilitation, and meeting direction experience.
• Prior experience (2+ years) conducting adult learning programs.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge and skills to be an effective automotive/truck instructor.
• Prepares for classes with outstanding delivery and SME presentations using adult learning principles.
• Develops training schedules with management and Training Service Center; coordinates needs with divisions.
• Partners with division management to implement Autotech training programs.
• Delivers course content, gathers feedback, and updates content accordingly.
• Maintains content integrity while enhancing learner experience.
• Plans training events with internal/external customers to meet needs.
• Communicates feedback on training events to management and customers.
• Assists with marketing training events to maximize participation.
• Makes training presentations at conferences and events as required.
