Job summary

SanMar-Internal seeks a Facilities Group Lead for Autostore in Ashland, VA. The role oversees daily maintenance, safety programs, and coordination with vendors to ensure uninterrupted material handling operations.

You will lead a team, monitor equipment performance, and implement improvements across AutoStore systems and related machinery. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in conveyor maintenance or similar equipment.
• 5+ years operating powered lift equipment.
• Able to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKUs.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute a daily preventive maintenance program for all material handling equipment, including AutoStore systems.
• Ensure efficient operation of AutoStore robots and grid systems.
• Collaborate with vendors for technical support and spare parts procurement.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation.
• Delegate tasks and maintain team efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Lead safety training initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
