Job summary

REGENT Craft Inc. is seeking an Autonomy Test & Integration Engineer to advance our perception system from bench to open ocean.

You will mount and calibrate sensors on vessels, perform data collection against live traffic, and build replay and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure to rerun sea days on the bench. You will split time between on-water field campaigns and onshore tooling development, calibration pipelines, and integration steps to move software onto our Seagliders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware-in-the-loop or data-replay experience.
• Field deployment experience on boats or surrogate vehicles.
• Experience testing software on real hardware from code review through deployment.
• Eligibility: US export control regulations; applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62).
• Bonus: familiarity with autonomy algorithms, ARPA radar tracking, boating or sea-trials background, ground-truth systems, basic electrical troubleshooting, DO-178C familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Run perception field tests, calibrate sensor rigs, and run tests on surrogate vessels.
• Bring software changes onto real vehicle hardware and troubleshoot transitions across platforms.
• Own the replay tooling and extend the hardware-in-the-loop and data-replay infrastructure.
• Keep perception reliable across all supported platforms and configurations.
• Test and sign off on software changes from bench to hardware-in-the-loop and onto vehicles.
• Apply perception capabilities to missions, collaborating with mission software to define needed functions for client and defense missions.
• Define autonomy test scenarios and validate new autonomy algorithms with the test team.
