Job summary

REGENT is developing Seagliders, wing-in-ground-effect aircraft for coastal transportation. This role leads test infrastructure and field validation for the vehicle's perception system, managing both on-water sensor operations and onshore integration tooling.

Run perception field tests, deploy software to vehicle hardware, and extend HIL/data-replay tooling while monitoring reliability. Design autonomy test scenarios and validate new algorithms with the test team.

Qualifications

• Experience in robotics, autonomy, or perception software with hands-on HIL or data-replay work.
• Field deployment experience, preferably on boats or surrogate vessels.
• Experience testing software on real hardware from code review through deployment.

What You'll Do

What You Need

• Professional experience in robotics, autonomy, or perception software including hands-on hardware-in-the-loop or data-replay work
• Field deployment experience, preferably involving sensor testing on boats or comparable surrogate vehicles
• Experience testing software on real hardware from code review through deployment
• Strong C/C++ skills for real-time or embedded systems, working Python proficiency, and comfort administering Linux systems
• U.S. person eligibility as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.62) due to export control regulations

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with autonomy algorithm concepts
• ARPA radar tracking experience
• Boating or sea-trials background
• Ground-truth system experience, basic electrical troubleshooting, or DO-178C familiarity
