Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Integration Engineer to design, integrate, validate, and deliver Driver Safety System capabilities. You will lead system-level integration across software, hardware, sensors, and autonomy middleware to deliver customer-ready solutions.

The role requires collaboration across teams, strong systems engineering, and experience with validation and release processes. Full-time onsite at Mossville, IL. Up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate industry experience.
• Experience leading system integration across software, hardware, and safety domains.
• Knowledge of software architecture and validation planning.
• Experience with SDLC practices and test strategy development.
• Strong communications across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, and integration scope.
• Lead or support system integration, validation, verification, and release readiness activities.
• Design and align architectures for interfacing autonomy middleware, hardware, and sensors.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, and partner teams to maintain alignment.
• Consult on integration issues between robotics software and infrastructure.
• Communicate requirements, risk, and delivery status to stakeholders.
• Apply new technologies to improve autonomy, robotics, and safety capabilities.
• Document architecture, decisions, interfaces, and validation criteria.
