Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Integration Engineer to contribute to design, integration, validation, and delivery of Driver Safety System capabilities at Caterpillar.

You will lead system-level integration across software, hardware, sensors, and safety technologies to deliver customer-ready solutions. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams to ensure architecture intent, implementation, and verification align with project goals.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, decomposing, and managing system requirements, interfaces, and integration plans across complex, multi-team environments.
• Experience designing, validating, and deploying software, hardware, and safety-related systems.
• Knowledge of software product design, architecture, and architecture trade-offs.
• Familiarity with SDLC practices and multi-disciplinary project execution.
• Strong technical troubleshooting across hardware, software, and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Define, decompose, and manage system-level requirements and interfaces across complex safety and site technology programs.
• Lead or support system integration, validation, testing, and release readiness for software and hardware.
• Design and align system architectures for interfacing autonomy middleware, machine control hardware, sensors, and safety systems.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, machine, site, safety, and partner teams to maintain alignment.
• Document architecture decisions, interface expectations, I/O requirements, validation strategy, and success criteria.
