Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Systems Architecture, Integration, and Test Engineer (Electrical and/or Software) to drive electrical and software integration for autonomous vessels. You will lead HITL/SIL verification, reliability testing, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure design intent and system requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of industry experience as a Design/Development/Test/Systems Engineer or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Systems, Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Experience with advanced hardware systems, autonomous systems, complex electronics systems, or similar.
• Requirement decomposition experience for both hardware and software.
• Coding and software development experience in Python, Java, C++, or similar.
• Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis methodologies, corrective action management, and risk management.
• Experience architecting and designing test campaigns (subsystem level to vehicle/vessel/product level) and creating & executing test plans.
• Familiarity with MIL‑STDs, ABS Rules, ABYC, COLREGs, ISO, NASA, IEC, IEEE, and similar.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and software system integration efforts with cross‑functional teams.
• Define and maintain system‑level electrical and software interface requirements using Jama.
• Develop and execute integration and validation test plans for electrical subsystems, SIL and HITL testing.
• Define and execute electrical reliability tests (EMI/EMC, power cycling, thermal stress).
• Support root cause investigations for electrical and software failures, coordinating corrective actions.
• Lead technical reviews related to system interfaces and software verification results.
• Mentor engineers in reliability, fault tolerance, and diagnostic coverage.
• Define top‑down use cases and system architecture with product architects.
• Document and maintain system requirements using Jama and in‑house tools.
• Ensure requirements interpretation and implementation across teams.
• Maintain technical documentation for system requirements and testing.
• Articulate technical information to stakeholders across engineering, software, and mission operations.
• Participate in systems engineering activities from concept to testing.
• Develop and execute V&V plans for subsystem and system level verification and validation.
• Define test objectives and success criteria for integration tests.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with development and QA teams.
• Develop internal data analysis and visualization tools for test reporting.
• Collaborate with mission operations and design engineers to feed field data back into design.
