Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Autonomy Integration Build Engineer to lead hands-on bring-up of control systems, sensors, and robotics for autonomous surface vessels. You will interface with design teams in Austin and oversee installation, calibration, and verification at the shipyard, ensuring traceability and successful system integration.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical engineering, robotics, and embedded systems, with experience in maritime or defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with autonomous systems or robotics in marine/defense.
• Familiarity with ABS and US Coast Guard standards.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical, control, and embedded systems.
• Proficient CAD design, sensor calibration and system bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, analysis and integration of autonomous systems.
• Collaborate on CAD modeling, analysis and system optimization.
• Coordinate between engineering, drafting, and production teams.
• Lead root cause analysis and ECO processes.
• Support integration of autonomous navigation and control systems.
• Document drawings, specs, test procedures and as-built records.
• Manage CAD models documenting as-built changes during ship construction.
• Oversee installation and testing of control hardware, wiring, and interfaces.
