Caterpillar Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Simulation Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and support compute and platform environments for simulation, digital twin, robotics, and autonomy workloads.

This role blends software engineering with cloud, GPU, and operations expertise to create reliable, observable infrastructure for local development and large-scale execution. The candidate will work across AWS, Azure, on-prem, and hybrid setups, building scalable deployment patterns

Formación

• Experience with major cloud providers and infra automation tools.
• Proficient in Python, Go, C++, Bash, PowerShell or similar.
• Experience delivering cloud-native or distributed platform services.
• Strong knowledge of GPU infrastructure and HPC tooling.
• Familiarity with observability and incident response.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and support simulation infra across AWS, Azure, on-prem and hybrid.
• Build reusable infra and automation using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, scripting.
• Create deployment patterns for simulation services and GPU workloads.
• Implement workload scheduling and capacity management across CPU/GPU.
• Support GPU HPC infra including drivers, runtimes, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for simulation builds and environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and runbooks for sims.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and cost visibility.
• Build self-service tooling and reusable environment templates.
• Collaborate with runtime, framework, QA, security, and infra engineers.
