Job summary
SSCI, Inc. is seeking an Autonomy Research Engineer 2 in Burlington, MA to conduct collaborative research, data analyses, and software development under project leadership.
The role focuses on mission autonomy, world modeling, predictive simulation, and adaptive planning under uncertainty and adversarial conditions. Applicants should have a BS (or MS with experience) in engineering, CS, or applied math and strong MATLAB/C++/Python skills, plus experience with AI/ML libraries and simulation
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or similar educational background, or equivalent experience and 3+ years of experience in related industry experience or Masters Degree and 1+ years of experience in a related field.
- Advanced experience in research software development with relevant programming skills in MATLAB/C++/Python.
- Experience with AI/ML/Autonomy software libraries.
- Experience with simulation, development and deployment environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned and/or collaborative research, data analyses and/or software engineering activities as directed, that support technical and program objectives.
- Support the group's business development activities by developing technical proposal content, supporting data analyses and/or software engineering, as needed, under the guidance of a proposal technical lead.
- Document and communicate technical results, data analyses, key findings, and takeaway conclusions of research and development activities to internal audiences.
- Contribute to publications as needed.
