Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. in Warrendale, PA is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop machine automation and autonomy software, including perception, mapping, and path planning, using geometric methods, ML, and fusion.

You will participate in full software lifecycle, collaborate across teams, design interfaces, and contribute to productionizing automation software while adhering to coding standards and agile practices.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or Computer engineering.
• 2 years’ robotics or autonomous vehicle domain experience including Perception, Path Planning and Positioning.
• 2 years’ robotics software development industry experience.
• Strong hands-on programming skills with C is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine automation & autonomy software including perception, mapping, and path planning using geometric based, machine learning and fusion techniques.
• Complete all aspects of software development including requirement review, design, reviews, programming, functional testing, and release.
• Collaborate with various team members to design, prototype, test, deploy and productionize automation & autonomy software.
• Design, program, and unit test software that satisfies programming standards and conforms to defined architectural structure.
