Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. in Warrendale, PA is seeking engineers to design and develop advanced machine automation and autonomy software spanning perception, mapping and path planning, applying geometric algorithms, machine learning, and sensor fusion.

Responsibilities include prototyping, testing, deploying robust production-ready systems, integrating hardware components, and collaborating across teams while following software best practices and agile processes. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
• Industry experience in robotics or autonomous vehicles, in perception, path planning, and positioning.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python with hands-on experience.
• Experience developing algorithms and software using LiDARs, cameras, or radars.
• Proficiency working in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine automation and autonomy software for perception, mapping, and path planning using geometric methods, ML and sensor fusion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy software into production.
