Path Robotics in Columbus, OH seeks a Staff Robotics Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across perception, planning, controls, and execution systems. This hands-on role shapes the technical direction across multiple teams and solves complex systems challenges.

You’ll architect scalable frameworks, mentor engineers, and drive production-ready robotics capabilities including real-time control, localization, mapping, and integration with hardware.

Qualifications

• 8+ years developing robotics software with deep expertise in complex systems.
• Experience architecting and delivering large-scale robotics software from concept through deployment.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with Linux experience and real-time systems know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and development of core robotics software across perception, planning, controls, and execution systems.
• Design scalable software frameworks enabling reliable, maintainable, high-performance robotic applications across platforms.
• Drive motion planning and trajectory generation for complex robotic tasks including adaptive sensor-driven motion and multi-robot coordination.
• Develop advanced kinematics, collision checking, reachability analysis, and optimization for robotic manipulators.
• Build and optimize real-time control systems, trajectory correction, feature tracking, and visual servoing.
