Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer focused on autonomy for its uncrewed aircraft systems. You will develop ML and autonomy software, integrate perception and planning, and ensure reliable operation on real aircraft with onboard compute.

The role collaborates with ML, platform, flight test, avionics, and aircraft engineering teams to iterate from development through flight test. Strong C++/Python and ROS 2 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of ML/autonomy software on robotic/UAS platforms.
• Strong C++ and Python, Linux-based development, ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML and autonomy capabilities for uncrewed aircraft with onboard compute.
• Create autonomous behaviors using state machines, behavior trees, planners, or ML.
• Integrate perception, sensor fusion, and geospatial reasoning into flight software.
• Collaborate with ML, platform, flight test, avionics, and mechanical teams.
