Job summary

Heven AeroTech in the United States is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer, Autonomy to develop and deploy ML and autonomy for uncrewed aircraft. Qualifications

• 2–5 years of ML/autonomy development experience on robotic/UAS platforms.
• Strong C++ and Python development, Linux-based work.
• Experience with perception, sensor integration, and real-time system integration.
• Professional English communication, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy ML and autonomy capabilities for uncrewed aircraft, focusing on real-world operation.
• Develop mission-level autonomous behaviors using state machines, planners, and ML.
• Implement perception, object detection, tracking, sensor fusion, and geospatial reasoning.
• Integrate autonomy software with autopilots, computers, sensors, and data links; maintain clear interfaces.
• Write production-quality C++ and Python software for real-time execution; optimize for NVIDIA GPUs.
• Create and use simulation, SIL/HIL, bench-test, and automated tests to evaluate autonomy before flight.
• Support aircraft integration, ground test, and flight test; analyze logs and data for improvements.
• Collaborate across ML, Platform, Flight Test, avionics, electrical, and mechanical teams.
