Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related technical discipline with 2+ years ML experience.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts, principles, and theory.
• Ability to follow and apply advanced ML knowledge, adapt cutting edge techniques while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in developing and leading scalable software architectures from scratch.
• Experience in optimizing AI models to meet edge processing requirements.
• Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python.
• Experience in AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to architect, design, and develop complex software.
• Project management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads.
• Active membership and participation in relevant conferences and professional societies.
• Recent publications in AI/ML and autonomy.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts and apply them in evolving environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interface with professionals and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; extended hours and travel as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops and communicates descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms of limited scope.
• Uses ML and statistical modeling techniques to develop and evaluate algorithms to improve product/system performance, data management and accuracy.
• Translates algorithms and technical specs into production code.
• Completes programming, testing and debugging.
• Documents installation and maintenance procedures.
• Applies deep learning to visualize, learn and respond to situations of limited scope.
• Leads technical teams and scopes projects into executable sprints.
• Drives code reviews to align with DevSecOps and MLOps practices.
• Maintains a growth mindset in a changing environment.
• Adapts ML to AR/VR/AI/robotics domains for interactive experiences.
• Interfaces with external vendors to integrate technology into the autonomy stack.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
