AeroVironment's Summer Internship Program in Simi Valley, CA offers a paid, 12-week onsite experience for motivated students or recent graduates. You will work on GN&C projects, flight testing, software and hardware development, under experienced engineers, gaining exposure to flight control systems and system integration.

Relocation and housing stipends may be available, and you will report to our Small Unmanned Systems team.

Competenze

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Completed coursework in GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems, embedded systems or robotics.
• Strong interest in aircraft systems and aerospace engineering.

Mansioni

• Assist in designing GN&C systems for current and future aircraft projects.
• Support system testing including SIL/HIL and flight test prep.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms under supervision.
• Assist subsystem integration and data analysis activities.
• Support engineering documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering and test teams to troubleshoot solutions.
• Learn and apply engineering processes and tools for flight systems.
• Perform additional duties or learning tasks as needed.
