Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer to deploy, validate, and iteratively improve our underwater unmanned vessel systems. You will join the Platform Acceptance team, driving field tests, data collection, and rigorous validation to ensure DoD-aligned performance.

You will coordinate with autonomy, software, hardware, and systems teams to translate requirements into validated test objectives and deliverables, supporting both project rollouts and ongoing software releases.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and internships qualify).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in HW/SW; able to work in challenging field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of vehicle hardware and software architecture as a system.
• Lead planning and execution of structured field tests for autonomous vessel performance.
• Diagnose real-time issues in autonomy, networking, and onboard hardware/software during tests.
• Implement testing solutions and safety protocols to maximize reliability.
• Own data logging and telemetry monitoring for post-test analysis.
• Contribute to RCCA and post-field anomaly reporting to prevent repeats.
• Maintain vessels and test environments, including operating vessels and support craft.
