Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Systems Software Test Engineer to own and advance testing for the software stack on Saronic vessels. You’ll unify HITL, VM integration tests, replay, and simulation into a cohesive platform and scale advanced testing methodologies across multiple teams.

You will build end-to-end validation, including deterministic simulation and fault-injection workflows, enabling engineers to ship reliable autonomous vessel software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in test infrastructure, V&V or reliability for complex systems.
• Strong Rust and/or C++ skills with Python for orchestration and CI tooling.
• Experience building and operating HITL test rigs, fuzz-testing, property testing, and deterministic simulation.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive testing initiatives for the system software, including HITL, VM integration tests, and replay/simulation testing.
• Design and implement a unified verification strategy combining unit, property tests, and end-to-end testing.
• Establish risk-based testing to balance coverage, cost, and confidence.
• Develop reusable testing patterns and infrastructure for broad engineering use.
