Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Manager, Autonomy Embedded Software to lead the development of the embedded software stack for radar sensing and autonomy platforms. You will set technical direction, roadmaps, and ensure robust, scalable software across application layers, middleware, RTOS, Linux, and drivers.

You will partner with hardware, validation, safety, cybersecurity, and autonomy teams to deliver high-quality automotive software with urgency and impact.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years embedded software development in automotive/industrial safety-critical domains.
• 3+ years leading and developing software teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing embedded software team.
• Define software strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Radar/autonomy sensing platforms.
• Own embedded software lifecycle from requirements to production release.
• Provide technical leadership across bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux stacks.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, safety, cybersecurity, and autonomy teams.
