Job summary

Latitude AI is driving Ford’s autonomy roadmap with an in-house embedded software platform for radars and lidars. We seek a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop safe, efficient software in C++ for resource-constrained environments and to align with Functional Safety standards.

You’ll collaborate with hardware/system teams and suppliers to ensure successful product delivery, leveraging RTOS and Embedded Linux expertise in a safety-critical context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 4+ years of embedded experience.
• 4 years of strong experience developing embedded applications and C++.
• Proficient in network protocols, physical layer requirements and bandwidth.
• Strong software design, algorithms, problem solving and analytics.
• Experience with multi-processor SoCs or similar embedded processors.
• Familiarity with RTOS such as FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS and Embedded Linux.
• Experience developing software for safety-critical sensing systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and efficient embedded software for Radar and Lidar sensors.
• Produce high-quality, maintainable C++ code.
• Design, implement, and test high performance code for resource-constrained environments.
• Design, implement, and test solutions aligning with Functional Safety standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross functional hardware/system engineers.
