Jobot in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Workers’ Compensation Applicant Attorney to manage a plaintiff-side caseload in a high-volume, client-focused practice. You will handle intake through resolution, appear at hearings, develop strategy, and drive cases forward with autonomy.

Qualifications

• Experience handling workers’ compensation matters on the applicant/plaintiff side.
• Comfortable appearing in hearings and managing case progression independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active files simultaneously.
• Prior experience supervising or working closely with support staff is preferred.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients at administrative hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Evaluate cases, identify legal issues, and develop case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and case-related reports.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel and carriers.
• Manage a full caseload with support from legal assistants and case management staff.
• Guide and oversee support staff to ensure efficient case progression.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and expectations.
