Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking engineers to develop autonomous propulsion loading software for the New Glenn rocket. You will translate P&ID concepts into robust Simulink control algorithms and flight-ready code, while collaborating with simulation and launch teams to verify models and validate software in real-world flight scenarios.

The role focuses on safety-critical software with opportunities to advance AI/ML integration within aerospace workflows and to contribute to cutting-edge spaceflight

Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related field).
  • 2+ years of experience in the applicable industry and/or a controls-related role in a non-academic, professional setting.
  • Experience with Simulink or other model-based design software.
  • Experience working in a configuration managed development environment.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and integrating AI-driven solutions into workflows.
  • Willingness to learn and work with AI model integration, deployment, and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to autonomously load propellants and launch Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket.
  • Translate P&ID drawings into robust Simulink control algorithms and executable flight-ready code.
  • Collaborate with simulation and launch teams to verify models and validate software in real-world scenarios.
