Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Ground Autonomy Control Engineer II to advance autonomous fuel loading and control for the New Glenn rocket in a collaborative, safety‑mocused environment.

You will translate P&ID drawings into flight‑ready control algorithms, verify models with the simulation team, and work with the launch team to validate software in real‑world scenarios. Strong AI/ML integration experience is valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related field).
• 2+ years of experience in controls in a professional setting.
• Experience with Simulink or other model-based design software.
• Experience in a configuration managed development environment.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience and integration into engineering workflows.
• Willingness to learn AI model integration and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to autonomously load propellants and support New Glenn operations.
• Translate P&ID drawings into robust Simulink control algorithms.
• Verify control models with the simulation team and test in real scenarios.
• Collaborate with launch team to validate software for flight readiness.
