Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking engineering talent to advance software for the New Glenn rocket. You will help develop autonomous propellant loading and flight control software, translating P&ID drawings into robust Simulink models and flight-ready code.

The role involves verification/validation of safety-critical software, collaboration with simulation and launch teams, and applying AI/ML techniques to improve automation and data analysis in aerospace applications.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Software, or related field)
  • 2+ years in controls-related role in a professional setting
  • Experience with Simulink or other model-based design software
  • Experience in a configuration-managed development environment
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python
  • Hands-on AI/ML experience and integration into workflows
  • Willingness to learn AI model integration, deployment, and optimization

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to autonomously load propellants and launch New Glenn launcher.
  • Translate P&ID drawings into Simulink control algorithms and flight-ready code.
  • Collaborate with simulation & launch teams to verify and validate software in real-world scenarios.
  • Engage in verification and validation of safety-critical software and models.
