Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is offering an Autonomy & Active Safety Engineering Intern role for Summer 2027 in Oshkosh, WI and Pittsburgh, PA. You will work on autonomy, robotics, perception, and vehicle control on real platforms, with exposure to computer vision, sensor fusion, localization, and embedded systems.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to next-generation autonomy tech while collaborating across software, systems, and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Programming experience with Python, C/C++, or similar languages through coursework or projects.
• Ability to work at least 12 weeks, starting late May/June through August.

Responsibilities

• Own an impactful technical project related to autonomy, active safety, robotics, or perception.
• Develop, test, and demonstrate work on real vehicles, benches, or simulations.
• Collaborate with engineers across software, controls, electrical, mechanical disciplines to integrate capabilities.
