Job summary

Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an Autonomy Engineering intern to join our team and work on real‑world autonomous systems projects.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop and test algorithms for navigation, perception, and control; analyze sensor data; and document progress for the engineering team. This paid internship offers hands‑on experience in motorsports, defense, and mobility applications.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MS or PhD (preferred) in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field; BS candidates with relevant coursework, project experience, or demonstrated technical skills will also be considered.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Experience with ROS1 or ROS2 (Robot Operating System) and Linux
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Hands‑on experience with autonomous systems through research, coursework, projects, competitions, or previous internships

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of autonomous navigation, perception, or control algorithms.
• Analyze and interpret data from sensors and other sources to improve system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate autonomy solutions into various platforms.
• Document and present findings and progress to the engineering team.
