Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Triage Test Engineer to join a major client in the Bay Area for a 12-month contract onsite. The role focuses on end-to-end testing and triage of autonomous vehicle and ADAS software, including ACC, LK, Lane Change, safety features, and parking functionalities.

You will perform hands-on in-vehicle testing, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering to improve vehicle-level software quality.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on triage experience in AV/robotics.
• Experience with Linux and/or QNX systems.
• Software programming experience.
• Hands-on AV triage workflow experience.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to perform hands-on in-vehicle testing and document issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end software testing for autonomous and ADAS features (ACC, LK, Lane Change, safety, parking).
• Validate software functionality at vehicle level.
• Develop testing metrics and KPI-based evaluations.
• Design test routes and execute large-scale in-vehicle testing on real-world roads.
• Document and report testing events per safety/reporting protocols.
• Collect feedback from vehicle test drives and report findings to cross-functional teams.
• Debug vehicle software and interface with engineers to identify root causes.
• Contribute to testing/reporting/triage process improvements.
• Travel to different testing locations as required.
