Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an AV Test Engineer in the Bay Area to lead engineering-level testing and analysis of autonomous driving and ADAS software. You will own the testing process from writing test cases to executing in-vehicle tests and communicating findings to software developers.

The role emphasizes evaluating features like parking and active safety, triaging data, and delivering actionable feedback to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering/testing experience
• Hands-on testing directly within a vehicle
• Experience with ADAS, autonomous driving or vehicle software
• Experience writing and executing test cases
• Strong data triage/analysis skills for test data
• Ability to troubleshoot software-related vehicle issues and communicate findings
• Experience working with Linux
• Understanding of how software is tested in vehicle systems

Responsibilities

• Write and develop test cases for autonomous driving and ADAS features
• In-vehicle testing of parking, lane changes and active safety features
• Execute test cases and collect vehicle/test data
• Analyze and triage data to determine what went wrong and why
• Perform issue triage, root cause analysis, categorization and reporting
• Communicate test results and software issues with development teams
• Provide feedback on software performance based on vehicle testing
• Develop documentation/tools to improve testing and analysis
