Job summary

Zoox in California is seeking a Team Lead for Vehicle Operations to guide a team of Vehicle Operators, set daily standards, and drive safe, efficient operations. You will work hands-on with your team, mentoring, scheduling, and delivering both short-term and long-term targets across software and hardware tests.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional work experience in a cross-functional and product-based environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and improve operational efficiency with a proactive mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
• Ability to work on-site at your assigned location for all scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Vehicle Operators and uphold safety-centric culture.
• Handle timesheet approval, expense reports, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with Team Leads and Program/Project Managers to stay aligned with goals.
• Develop knowledge of Zoox’s proprietary Vehicle Operations software and mentor staff.
• Answer questions and support contingent workforce with clear information.
• Conduct recurring testing to ensure safety and current state of Vehicle Operations.
• Collaborate with product and program management to improve processes and operations.
