Job summary

Nuro is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the In-Vehicle Team to build a best-in-class AV operator group and drive operational missions. You will hire and onboard operators, develop the team, manage performance, and lead continuous improvement, collaborating with operations and planning to meet weekly goals.

This role requires 2+ years of leadership experience, knowledge of US labor and driving laws, and a willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience managing teams of at least 10 direct reports.
• Strong leadership and ownership of team work.
• Understanding of US labor, employment and driving laws.
• Strong problem solving and data review skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work nights, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard operators, and manage onboarding with L&D collaboration.
• Lead and coach a team of ~20 operators, with performance feedback.
• Conduct performance reviews and align metrics with stakeholders.
• Oversee Start of Shift and End of Shift activities and attendance.
• Ensure operators are trained for new features and capabilities.
• Monitor plan vs. actual performance weekly and drive improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize processes and improve throughput.
• Share best practices with peers across locations.
