Job summary

Nuro in Fresno, CA is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the In-Vehicle Team to build a best-in-class AV operator group and drive metrics across operations. You will hire and onboard operators, coach a ~20-person team, and lead performance reviews and continuous improvement with cross-functional partners.

This role requires 2+ years leading teams, strong problem-solving and data skills, knowledge of US labor laws, and flexibility to work nights, evenings, and weekends as business needs demand.

Responsibilities

• Hiring & onboarding: lead interview process and onboarding for new hires, align with L&D team.
• People development: coach a team of ~20 operators, ensure training and competency, provide feedback.
• Performance management: conduct performance reviews and update metrics with stakeholders.
• Execution management: manage Start of Shift and End of Shift activities, attendance, and prep.
• Training readiness: ensure operators are trained before new features roll out.
• Allocation & visibility: coordinate weekly goals and operator availability with planning.
• Incident response: address operator and onsite incidents per procedures.
• Continuous improvement: drive cross-functional projects to improve efficiency and throughput.
• Best practices: share learnings across locations to drive standardization.
