Job summary

IMCS Group seeks a Hardware Test Technician to perform rigorous hardware testing onsite in San Francisco. You will configure sensors and compute devices, install software, update firmware, and validate system functionality, documenting results and asset disposition throughout the process.

You will also troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and networking issues while following SOPs to ensure quality and throughput targets in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical lab, manufacturing, warehouse, hardware support, or testing environment.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting knowledge.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Comfortable using command-line tools and existing scripts.
• Hardware testing and validation experience.
• Firmware updates, software installation, and driver management.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Inventory management, shipping/receiving, or RMA experience.
• Familiarity with sensors, cameras, and autonomous vehicle hardware.

Responsibilities

• Execute command-line utilities and predefined scripts.
