Job summary

HireArt, Inc. is seeking a Test Mechatronics Engineer to support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex hardware systems in a hands-on development lab in San Francisco, CA.

The role focuses on electromechanical testing across mechanical, electrical, and firmware components, with results feeding AI training efforts. The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and can communicate technical findings clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience testing electromechanical systems.
• Experience testing actuated mechanisms or moving platforms.
• Understanding of common electromechanical failure modes and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems.
• Experience using hardware testing and diagnostic tools such as data loggers, load cells, oscilloscopes, and test fixtures.
• Familiarity with Python for test scripting and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Test complete hardware systems and subsystems, including actuated mechanisms and moving platforms.
• Translate hardware performance requirements into structured test procedures with data collection and logging.
• Diagnose system failures and identify root causes across mechanical, electrical, and firmware components.
• Document test results, failures, and technical findings to support troubleshooting and improvements.
• Use data loggers, load cells, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and Python-based test scripts to support testing and validation.
• Review instructions and provide feedback to improve technical documentation.
