Job summary

TLD Robotics is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Bloomington, Illinois to deploy and maintain autonomous vehicle fleets for customers across North America. The role involves on-site support, remote troubleshooting, and hands-on training, with regular travel to client sites and TLD facilities.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree, 2+ years in related industries, and strong diagnostics, CAN bus, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or higher in a technical field (Automotive Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Mechatronics)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician or engineer in automotive/robotics/automation/manufacturing sectors
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission autonomous vehicles at customer sites or via travel to customer locations.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicle systems.
• Install and configure autonomous hardware and software components.
• Deliver training to customers on vehicle operation and deployment.
• Provide remote support and communicate effectively with customers and project teams.
• Document tests, issues, and mitigation actions; support process improvements.
