Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support electrical design and systems integration for autonomous vehicle platforms. You will take subsystems from design through vehicle integration, including wiring, harness development, installation, and documentation.

You will work with mechanical, robotics, software, and systems engineers in a rapid prototype environment to deliver rugged, well-documented electrical solutions for sensors, power, and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical systems integration for vehicles or robotics.
• Ability to create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience selecting electrical components and materials.
• Hands-on support for wiring, fabrication, installation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate electrical systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Develop electrical architecture for sensors, controllers, and power distribution.
• Design and document sensor wiring, harnesses, and interfaces.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings.
• Select and source components and materials for vehicle builds.
• Support physical build, installation, and integration of electrical systems.
• Route and package wiring for rugged environments.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and robotics engineers for integration.
• Support prototype builds, system bring-up, and testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues during integration.
