Job summary

NextCare in Spring, Texas is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. The position offers autonomy, supportive leadership, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license.
Board certification: PA NCCPA; NP ANCC or AANP (FNP required).
Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
Ability to treat patients of all ages.
Active BLS certification.
EHR proficiency.
Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound management.
Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
Code and bill services appropriately.
Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
