Job summary

NextCare in Victoria, TX is seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for a full-time urgent care position. The role involves 12-hour shifts Mon-Fri with shorter 8-hour shifts on weekends; clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Mon-Fri and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sat-Sun, every other weekend and occasional holidays are required.

The position offers clinical autonomy with strong support from experienced teams, a comprehensive benefits package, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• National board certification or eligibility.
• Active DEA license.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
