Job summary

Waabi in Dallas is seeking a skilled automotive technician to maintain and troubleshoot Waabi's Class 8 autonomous trucking fleet. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform repairs, and keep precise maintenance records.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement upgrades, stay informed on industry advances, and ensure safety standards and procedures are followed. Flexibility for varied shifts and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic in automotive/heavy-duty/tr tech environments; ASE certifications desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with truck maintenance and repair and autonomous driving tech is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment; effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain Waabi class 8 autonomous trucking fleet for safety and performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle electrical and mechanical issues.
• Perform repairs and replacements per Waabi guidelines and safety protocols.
• Collaborate across teams to provide feedback and support feature upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support to truck operators on systems and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements for autonomous vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Support Waabi's safety culture.
