Job summary

Axiom Global Technologies is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to help build safe autonomous robotic systems. You will analyze system behavior, identify safety risks, establish safety requirements, and support safety activities from concept through testing.

You will collaborate with systems, software, and hardware teams to embed safety into product architecture, verify safety concepts, and maintain safety documentation while advancing standards like IEC 61508 and ISO 25119.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in functional safety analyses and safety concept development.
• Experience with safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 25119) is preferred.
• Ability to translate safety requirements into verifiable specifications.
• Collaborative skills across systems, software, and hardware teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze autonomous vehicle functions to identify hazards and risks.
• Support risk assessment techniques such as FMEA and FTA.
• Translate safety objectives into testable requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed safety in architecture.
• Track safety requirements through development and verification.
• Review safety-related tests, simulations, and evidence.
• Apply functional safety principles across development stages.
• Support compliance with IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 25119.
• Develop safety plans, assessments, and reports.
• Assist internal safety reviews and formal safety assessments.
• Provide day-to-day functional safety guidance to teams.
• Stay updated on autonomous robotics and vehicle safety practices.
