Job summary

Medix seeks a Physician for Post-Acute / Primary Care in the Phoenix area. The role involves direct patient management across post-acute facilities, with mentorship of APPs and flexible daily scheduling.

Qualifications include MD/DO with Arizona medical license, board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Hospital Medicine, and proficiency with EMR systems. Competitive base pay with production incentives is offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Arizona and an active DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial history and physical examinations for new patients.
• Conduct routine patient rounding at post-acute facilities (minimum once weekly).
• Partner with APPs to manage regulatory requirements and complex visits.
• Mentor and support the APP team to elevate care quality.
• Address quality gaps to drive measurable patient outcome improvements.
• Represent the organization’s mission within the local healthcare community.
