Job summary

PlusAI is seeking a Perception Validation Engineer to define and execute validation strategies ensuring autonomous vehicle perception is accurate and reliable. You will design automated pipelines, establish KPIs, and build testing frameworks for BEV-based models across camera, LiDAR, and radar data.

Collaborate with Perception ML and Simulation teams to generate ground truth, mine edge cases, perform root-cause analysis, and document safety verifications for regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Robotics/EE required.
• 2+ years in testing/validation of robotics/autonomous systems or CV models.
• Strong Python and/or C++ programming skills.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis for large datasets.
• Solid understanding of CV concepts, DL principles, and 3D transformations.

Responsibilities

• Define Validation Metrics for camera, LiDAR, Radar, and fusion stacks.
• Build automated regression testing pipelines for perception models.
• Oversee ground truth data generation and curation.
• Mine edge cases and stress-test perception systems.
• Partner with Perception ML to debug validation failures and trace root causes.
• Collaborate with Simulation to develop realistic sensor models.
• Produce verification documents for safety/regulatory readiness.
