Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our outpatient Medical Oncology/Hematology team. You will manage your own patient panel with physician support, delivering comprehensive hematologic care in a clinic setting.

The role requires NP or PA credentials, board certification, and state licensure with prescriptive authority. Expect autnomy in practice while collaborating with a supervising physician, and involvement in ongoing education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree MSN from an approved program for NP path.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners or PA-C certification.
• Active practicing-state licensure for NP or PA and relevant prescriptive authority.
• DEA licensure within 60 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 required before or soon after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, document medical history, and develop care plans in outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with attending physician on plans outside scope of practice when needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; adjust therapy accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on health, meds, and follow-up resources.
• Ensure timely EMR documentation for accurate coding and billing.
• Maintain ongoing professional education and participate in safety/quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
