Job summary

NurseAmerica is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in Columbia, MD to join a multi-site outpatient oncology/hematology practice. The role focuses on comprehensive outpatient care for oncology and hematology patients in a physician-led environment.

The ideal candidate holds an NP or PA license in Maryland, with a Master's degree and experience in oncology or hematology preferred. The position offers a competitive base salary, full benefits, and a direct-hire path.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in Maryland (or eligible to obtain).
• Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Oncology/hematology experience preferred, but strong candidates from adjacent specialties are encouraged to apply.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including comprehensive history and physical exams.
• Manage symptom control, side-effect management, and supportive care for patients undergoing active treatment.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians on treatment planning and care coordination.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory results.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
