Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider – Outpatient to manage comprehensive medical care for oncology patients. The APP will exercise prudent judgment in assessment, diagnosis, and care planning, coordinating with physicians as needed at our LHCP site.

The role requires NP or PA licensure, BLS, and hematology/oncology experience is preferred. Schedule includes 4 ten-hour shifts, with occasional weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Holds current BLS card for Health Professionals
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive histories and physical examinations reflecting patient acuity
• Coordinates and delivers comprehensive medical care following treatment protocols
• Writes orders/medications to support the care plan
• Orders and interprets laboratory and radiographic studies
• Seeks consultation from attending physicians as needed
• Collaborates with nursing and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
