Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver 1:1 neuro rehabilitation in patients' homes and communities, focusing on meaningful, real-life goals. You will work with individuals recovering from stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing, executive functioning and independence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; moving and transferring patients as required.
• Experience or knowledge in rehabilitation techniques for neurological injury.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home/community safety recommendations and resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients and families.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
